A Cluster of Thoughts

We had a nice relaxing Memorial Day weekend. I wish every weekend was a 3 day weekend. It was so nice to spend 3 days with nothing to do with my hubby. We spent our days playing with our niece, shopping (including buying me a pool for the summer) and spending time with friends. Every summer we always buy a cheap blow up pool for me to sit in. It gets so hot here in Texas and with me being 6 months pregnant, it was definite must. We found one at big lots for $35 and it has seats in it. I spent most of the day Sunday after church lounging in my new little pool. It was nice and relaxing.

I also started a new book called Just Breathe by Susan Wiggs. It is has been in my night stand forever and I decided it would be a good summer read. I love to read but lately I have kind of gotten out of the habit. I have a night stand full of books but nothing has really peaked my interest. I can tell I am going to fly through this book. I can't put it down.

Mary Kathryn is wiggling and moving like crazy. I can literally feel her doing flip flops in my stomach. It is the neatest and wierdest thing. Of course as soon as I call Todd over to feel her or see her, she stops.......EVERY SINGLE TIME. I think she might be a little stubborn already and have a mind of her own. :) We only have 103 days or less until we get to see her sweet face. I cannot wait. I have dreams all the time of what she might look like. I think shes going to look like Todd but maybe have dark hair like me. We will get a peek at her in 2 weeks when I go back to the doctor for my monthly check up. Its hard to believe I am 2 weeks away from my 3rd trimester. Time is really starting to fly now and I would be lying if I didn't say, it makes me a little nervous.

Everyone is talking about their beach trips and being off for the summer and I am a little jealous. I wish I had a beach trip planned this summer. What I wouldn't do to go to a nice beach and stay in a cute little beach house. Its been quite some time since I have been to the beach and I definitely have the itch to go. I love summer time don't you. Sometimes I wish I was a teacher just to have the summers off. I am so jealous of all my teacher friends. Our summer is already booking up fast and it just started. I know it will fly by and MK will be here so soon. :)

Well enough of my random thoughts for the day. Hope you all are having a good 4 day work week. Don't you just wish every week was a 4 day work week. Now that would be nice. :)

A Weekend of Randoms

We had a relaxing boring weekend. We didn't do much of anything and that is fine by me. Its nice to have those low key weekends every now and then. Friday night we had a birthday party to go to for Todds cousins little girl. She turned 1! She looked so cute in her little outifit and had so much fun diving into her cake. I think that is the best part about a first birthday party. I always love to see them just dig into their cake. Unfortunately I left my camera at home and no pictures were taken. : ( I need to get better about taking pictures. My SIL and niece were in town for the weekend so we got to spend lots of time with them. I can't believe how fast Anna is growing. She is getting too big, I told her this weekend she needed to be a baby again and quit growing so fast. She quickly told me that she was a BIG GIRL!! She is at such a fun age though that I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Saturday I laid around the house and then had a Stella and Dot party that evening. I was excited that my party was a hit! Ya'll the new spring line is gorgeous!! You should check it out. I'm anxiously waiting by the door for the mail to come because I just ordered a few more pieces from the spring line. I can't wait to put them on :) We went to a retirement party that night and then I was in bed by 10. haha. I couldn't help it, I was tired and I love going to bed early. I guess I am officially getting old.

I always dread Mondays, don't you. It just seems like the weekend always flies by and I can't ever seem to get everything done to feel completely organized for Monday. I hate that feeling. What makes Monday better though is when I get off work at 1 o clock. Oh yes, it was so nice to leave work early today. I came home and cleaned out the refrigerator, let me just tell you, it was LONG OVERDUE!! I feel so much more productive when I can get off work early and come home and do things around the house. Now I just need to clean and finish laundry. Does laundry ever end? I feel like our laundry just stays piled up. UGH!! It seems like I can never get it all done.

It was in the 70s this weekend and its supposed to be in the 20s-30s the rest of the week. Now that is more like it. I love winter weather!!

Friday Ramblings

I have lots of things going through my mind today, so I thought I would just do a rambling post about a whole lot of nothing. :) Don't you just love my random thoughts.

1. I noticed I have quite a few new followers. HI!!! :) This makes me happy and welcometo my little ol blog. I am delighted that you have decidedd to follow my little journey and hope you enjoy reading my blog. Leave a comment and say hi or you can always email me. My email is in the side bar.

2. We have a new cute little boutique in Lufkin called The Spotted Zebra. I am in love with all of their clothes. They have the cutest stuff and I am so excited. I found a dress there over the weekend that I just loved and my MIL came over yesterday and had gotten it for me. I recently made her a banner and wreath for her classroom and this was her thank you.

What do you think? Isn't it so cute. I think it will be great to wear to a fall wedding.

I also bought this cute shirt that I plan on wearing with leggings.

3. The other night I was at my inlaws for dinner and we skyped with my niece. It was so much fun and now Im trying to convince to get me a web cam and get me set up. I want skype so bad now, then I can chat with all of my lovely friends. It is so cool!! Do people even use the word cool anymore? haha....I couldn't come up with anything better.

4. Do you ever have one of those days where you just need to let a good cry? Yeah that was me yesterday. I don't know what was wrong with me but I was not in a good mood yesterday and I really needed a good cry. UGH! I hate feeling like that. I wanted to go back to bed and start all over again.

6. Its official, I am headed to see one of my BFFS/first bloggy friend/IRL Tracy in 1 1/2 weeks. I am so super excited!! I am headed up to Annapolis Maryland and she has lots of fun things planned for us. Its also her little boys FIRST birthday party and I am so excited I will be there to help her family celebrate. The last time I saw her little boy he was only 5 weeks old. Time flies!!

7. My mom is coming up to spend the weekend with me. She hasn't been up here in a while so I am excited for a nice long visit with her. Its just what I need right now after this extremely LONG week.8. Is it just me or does it seem like EVERYONE is pregnant or about to have a baby. Everytime I turn around somebody else I know is pregnant. I am beyond excited for all my friends, but I can't help but feel like when will it be my turn. No we aren't trying but I have always wanted to be a Mother my whole life and I just can't wait until God blesses us with children. That part excites me sooooooo much!!

9. I am loving reality tv right now including the awful Bachelor Pad and Big Brother. I know how bad the Bachelor Pad is but I can't turn away. Its like the hightlight of my week. haha. I know I'm crazy right. I have watched every season of Big Brother and this season is my LEAST favorite. I still watch every episode but I just don't like the people as much. I do like Layne and I hope he makes it to the final 2.

10. Check out the most recent wreath I made. I think this is my favorite one yet. I am still working on banners and cupcake toppers too. Don't forget to email you if you would like me to make a banner or anything else for your party. I am always getting new stuff in.

On the hunt...

Ok ladies I am on the hunt for some cute black wedges. I have been searching all over the internet and can't find anything I like. I am kind of picky though. I want all black wedges, no cork bottom. The whole shoe needs to be black even the sole. I want them to look a little dressy because I am wearing them with a dress to a rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal dinner is outside so I need wedges or flats to wear. All my shopping buddies be out on the lookout for me and let me know what you find. I also do not want to pay a pretty penny either. I am looking for cute, fashionable and reasonably priced.

This week has been super busy at work and I just feel like I have had no time to blog. Plus lets just be real here my life is been pretty boring lately. I have had nothing exciting going on. :( I am getting my hair trimmed today and bangs cut. Yay I am so excited, I'm long overdue for a trim. I will post pics tomorrow probably. I am meeting up with 2 of my favorite girlfriends for drinks and girl chat at one of their houses. I'm excited about having some girl time and sitting outside enjoying the fresh air while having a nice glass of wine. Sounds like a perfect evening to me. My mom is coming up for the day on Sunday. We are having our first "official" church service. We are officially chartering our new church on Sunday and this is such an exciting time for us. So my mom is coming up to help celebrate. I always look forward to her visits. :)

Well that's about all my exciting news. haha. This blog post was pretty boring but its the best I could do today. I promise more exciting blog posts to come. Random Friday Thoughts

Happy Friday friends!!!
I don't really have anything interesting to say but I have been wanting to blog so here goes my random Friday thoughts. Enjoy my randomness :)

1. I bought my first romper today. I think they are so cute and have been on the search for the perfect one. I am so excited and it is very flattering, which is always a plus. Its cuter in person, if you follow me on Twitter I posted a pic.
2. I got off work early today, so I enjoyed my day with a little retail therapy. There is nothing like retail therapy. Gotta love it. I also went to Target and bought a pair of jean capris. The 2 pair I have are about 5 years old. I think it was time don't you?
3. The new Bachelorette with Ali starts May 24th. I am so EXCITED!! I can't wait to see what drama will unfold this season. I am also looking forward to posting recaps again. Stay Tuned.

4. I am officially ADDICTED to Glee!!! I won the first season through a giveaway and have been watching it every night. I cannot get enough of this show. I love all the singing and dancing, its just one of those shows that puts you in a good mood. :)
5. I am loving the summer time weather. I love how its still light outside at 8 o clock in the evening. It just makes it seem like the day lasts so much longer.
6. I am on call this weekend and not looking forward to it, but the one good thing is; I am off on Monday. Next week is a 4 day week for me :)
7. I am loving this wine, thanks to my friend Tracy. Its so yummy, not to sweet and it is sparkling. You can find it at Walmart. :)
8. I am getting my hair cut (trimmed) on Monday. I like my hair being long but I haven't had it trimmed since January so its long overdue. I am thinking of getting bangs like the picture below. What do you think? I want a change but I want to keep my hair long.9. I am still trying to finish reading The Last Song. This may be one of my least favorite books of Nicholas Sparks. Normally I can breeze right through his books but this one is taking me forever. I want to finish the book before I see the movie.
10. Next Sunday we are officially chartering our new church Christ Congregational Church with over 110 charter members. This is such an exciting time and I am so thankful and blessed that Todd and I are apart of it. I know God will continue to do wonderful things for our church.

Infected Computer

Hey guys! Sorry I have been MIA a little lately. Our home computer has been in the shop. It has some nasty virus and we are trying to get it fixed. It has had the virus for a while but we were still able to use it and now you can't even get to the home screen on our computer. UGH, I hate computers sometimes. :( Hopefully we will have it back by this weekend. I have been missing blogging and catching up on everyones blogs. The only time I have a chance to catch up on your blogs is at work, so sorry for the lack of commenting.


Todd and I survived our first night of babysitting our 21month old niece. More on that later with pictures :) We also had a wonderful anniversary. I am so blessed by a wonderful husband.


Also do you read Brit's blog. Her little girl Kennedy just turned 1 and she threw her a fabulous birthday party. Britney had twittered last week that she was in need of a birthday banner because the one she ordered off etsy; the girl just took her money and ran. I jumped at the chance to make Baby K a birthday banner and it turned out so cute. Check out all the pictures here. I love making banners, cards, anything crafty. I am heading to Destin this weekend with my 2 favorite girlfriends. I am super EXCITED!!! The bride Lauren doesn't know. Her sister Jennifer is picking me up at the airport and then we are headed down to the beach super early Friday morning. Lauren will be coming a little later with some other girls. Its going to be a total surprise. She won't find out until she gets to the beach :)

TGIF!!!

I am so glad its Friday!!! I so look forward to the weekend when we have nothing planned and can just relax and lay around the house. It has felt like a long week so Friday you are much appreciated today :) I am just full of random thoughts today so here is my random post Friday.

- I received a sweet card from one of my patients this week and it made my day. Working the recovery room most of my patients are still under anesthesia and hardly remember being in the recovery room, so it was nice to get such a sweet card. God is reminding me daily of why I am a nurse, especially in a time where I struggle with if this is what I want to do forever.

- Tonight we are headed to dinner with our friends Mark and Callie. We are going to our favorite place Hole In One. I'm thinking a steak is calling my name. I am looking forward to having dinner with them. Its always fun to get together with friends and have a nice dinner :)

-The other night I made one of those Macaroni Grill meals. Oh my gosh, have ya'll ever mad those. I love those meals. We have tried just about all of them and they are all so good. Here is the one we had the other night. It was delish and so easy to make. They are ready in 20 minutes!!

- I am on the hunt for the perfect Easter dress. I love that floral dress that I posted on my last post but I haven't been able to find it and I always like to try on stuff first. I love to browse online but I never buy anything online. If you have any ideas send them my way. I want a bright colored dress or a floral print dress.

- This week has been beautiful weather. It is finally spring time around here. I have been so glad to see the sun out every day and then temperature in the 60s. I am ready for spring and summer so I can start wearing dresses and skirts. I practically live in dresses in the summer. Todd like to call them my summer trusty's. You know the jersey dresses that are so soft and comfortably, you feel like your wearing pajamas...ahhh I love 'em.

-My current obsession is twitter. I love all my twitter friends and love how I can ask a question and get an immediate response from about 5 people. I also love getting to talk with my friends during our favorite shoes including, The Bachelor, American Idol, Project Runway, RHOC, etc. etc. Its like watching tv with your best girlfriends. :)

- I have started running again. I have 2 months to get my butt in shape. I have ran everyday this week and am hoping I get off in time today to go run again. A couple of days I did Jillians 30 day shred adn then went and ran. I am determined to get off these 10 pounds before I go to Destin at the end of April. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. :)
