A few of my favorite things...

I just wanted to show y'all a few of my favorite things lately. A few things that I am loving and can't live without it :)

I am loving this new body wash I bought a few weeks ago. Oh my gosh it smells so good and when I use it, it totally relaxes me. Its a mix of suntan lotion and coconut smell to me. If you haven't tried it yet, I think you need to go to your local Target this weekend and buy it and see for yourself. You won't want to use anything else.A while back ago I asked what product you used to wash your face because I was having issues with break outs. Well I went back to trusty Neutragena and my face hasn't been breaking out. I am just not one to spend a bunch of money on beauty products. My face is loving me lately and I have had very few pimples since I started using it again. My skin is very sensitive so I have to be careful what I put on my face.

I have been enjoying summer so much. I can't believe its already going to be August. Where has the time gone. I have been loving wearing all my summer trustys as I call them. You know Maxi dresses and t-shirt dresses. All the wonderful cotton comfy dresses that are out. Thats pretty much all I wear in the summer and I am sad that its about to be over :(

I am reading The Help and loving it!! This book is so good and if you haven't read it yet, it should definitely be on your list. You won't be able to put it down. I have about 100 pages left and plan on finishing it up this weekend. I love to read and if its a really good book, then I stop everything and won't put the book down until I am done. Have you heard the latest?? Erin from Blue Eyed Bride and Rachel from In No Simple Language are starting a blogging book club. Go HERE to see how to participate and what the first book on the agenda is. I am so excited about the blogging book club. I think it will be such a fun way for us to discuss books. I have always wanted to join a book club and this is the perfect thing.

I am now in full wedding mode. haha. I find myself constantly looking at all things wedding. From reception ideas to photographers to flowers to dresses. I am so excited about my brother getting married. It is so much fun to be able to be a part of it.

AHHH don't you just love them!!

I have been spending lots of time in my craft room lately and I am loving it. I have been using the heck out of my cricut machine. I am so excited that my friends and family are wanting me to make banners, cupcake toppers, etc for them. Maybe one day I will get the nerve to open an Etsy shop. Feel free to email me if you would like something made. I havent' really made a price list, but I promise I will be fair. I do ask that you pay for shipping though and shipping will vary. If you are a crafty person or even if your not crafty but enjoy making stuff, I think you should look into getting one. Especially if you have kids. It will cut vinyl, fabric and paper. They even sell them on EBay brand new. I just helped Emily get one off of Ebay. They are very user friendly too, not hard to work at all.

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I plan on just relaxing and getting caught up on housework. I have been gone so much lately, it will be nice to just have a relaxing weekend at home with no plans. I am looking forward to it.

Parties and Engagement

My nieces 2nd birthday party was July 17th. We had a nice family party at my in laws. It was so much fun getting to help plan and decorate for her party. I don’t consider myself a creative person but I do love to get my creative juices flowing. I enjoy decorating and helping to throw a party. I love it even more now that we are in the party rental business. I love starting with a theme and seeing how it all comes together. Of course I am no super party planner by any means. I can’t believe Miss Anna is already 2. It seems like we were just at the hospital yesterday waiting for her arrival. She is at such a fun age and I cherish every moment I get to spend with her. She definitely keeps you on your toes but she is SO FUNNY!! She just constantly makes me laugh and smile. Todd and I adore her so much. :)

I just wanted to post a few details and pictures of the party. My mother in law came up with the idea of making this wreath and I thought it turned out too cute. I was going to make one with feather boas and she came up with idea of using tulle and away we went. I think it turned out adorable!!

Also if any of you need a banner or sign for a birthday party etc. I will make you one. I love making birthday banners. I can customize it however you want it. Just shoot me an email and give me at least 2 to 3 weeks notice so I can get it made and shipped to you. I recently made one for Britney for her baby girl Kennedy when the one she ordered off Etsy didn’t come through, and I am in the process of making one for Lyndsey for her sweet girls birthday in October.

PS: My brother got engaged this weekend. I am so excited!! I have held this secret in since April and I finally get to tell me. You don’t know how hard it was not to tell anyone. He swore me to secrecy and I didn’t even tell Todd until Friday. He picked out the ring all on his own. He did a good job, I was very impressed. :)

They are the perfect match and I am so excited to have Kate as my sister in law. I couldn’t have picked a better person for my brother to marry. Let the wedding planning begin.

Prayer Request

Wedding Weekend in ATL

WOW!! I haven’t blogged in so long. Life has been crazy busy lately. I have been working crazy long hours and we have been busy on the weekends since I got back from Atlanta. Can I just rewind 2 weeks?

Two weeks ago I hopped on a plane and headed for ATL. It was my childhood friends wedding. Remember when I went to Florida for her bachelorette party, well it was finally her wedding weekend. I’ve known Lauren since she was born and I was so excited to be a part of her big day. She is like a sister to me and her family is like my second family.

I flew out Thursday morning and met two sweet bloggy friends for lunch and shopping. I was so excited to finally meet Lyndsey and Amy we ate at West Egg Cafe. Oh my goodness, this place was so yummy. They serve breakfast all day. I had a pimento cheese and bacon omelet and it was melt in your mouth delicious!! It was the best omelet I have ever had. If you live around or near ATL I definitely recommend this place. It was so yummy. We had lots of laughs and fun girly time. They took me to H&M and I was in love. I wanted everything in the store but of course I resisted. Have you ever been to an H&M. Its like an upscale F21. They have the cutest clothes and better yet they are so reasonable. I enjoyed getting to spend the day with these two wonderful awesome girls. We had so much fun and I can’t wait to see you ladies again. They are just as real and sweet as they are on their blogs. Love you girls. :) I am so blessed to have met some great friends through blogging. I am so sad I didn’t get a picture of the 3 of us. We were having too much fun chatting and shopping to think about pictures. LOL

On Friday was Laurens rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The girls spent the morning getting mani’s and pedi’s and lunch. It was a nice relaxing day. They had the rehearsal dinner at her fiancé's boss’ house. It was beautiful. They had good old southern comfort food. We enjoyed visiting and eating to celebrate the upcoming wedding. Me and the bride to be.

Saturday was the wedding and let me preface by saying it was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings I have ever been to. This family knows how to have a good time. It was a fabulous day. The reception was Hawaiian theme and every little detail was thought of. They even had Hawaiian dancers perform at the reception. It was so much fun!!

Whew what a fun weekend!! I still have lots more to blog about including my niece’s 2nd birthday party and comedy night. I will try to do better about blogging. Hopefully things are starting to slow down. I feel like summer is flying by and I am not ready for it to be over. I am not quite ready for fall yet. We have been having so much fun this summer. Lot more updates on the blog coming soon!!
