The Bachelorette Saga Continues

Okay Ladies I know I have barely blogged about The Bachelorette this season, but to be honest there hasn’t been much going on. Yes I am an Ali fan! I like her and I think so far she has made pretty good decisions. I also feel sorry for her because I think ABC did not give her that great of a group of guys. This season has been lacking in the drama but lets face it guys are way less dramatic than girls!! Girls are all about emotions and guys just don’t care.

Mondays episode was the first drama of the season. OOO shocker Justin has a girlfriend. I hate to say it but I could see this one coming and plus good ol’ Reality Steve had already spilled the beans on all this drama. I find it funny that Jesse from last season was involved though.  I still don’t get that or understand it. It also was too well played out, the whole scenario seemed so fake and plain RIDICULOUS!!! I loved how Justin wouldn’t even face Ali and was running away from her. I had to laugh out loud when he was climbing up those mini waterfalls trying to get away from her and the cameras. haha. I feel like if all this was a lie and he didn’t have a girlfriend then he would have acted completely different. The whole thing was DUMB!!!

Frank is starting to get on my nerves. I liked him in the beginning but now he is becoming possessive and I don’t like that at all. I didn’t really enjoy watching their one on one time. I also thought it was strange that the guys flew to Turkey, out of anywhere in the world ABC chose Turkey?? It still baffles me.

I am still loving Roberto and Chris L. They can do no wrong. They are both so cute and seem very down to earth. I like how they actually seem normal!!  ;)

I felt sorry for Craig. He never really had a chance. I was glad thought that Ali just went straight for the rose ceremony and didn’t have a cocktail hour. I mean why put all the guys through the agony if your mind is made up anyways.

Can’t you tell I am so enthralled with this season. LOL.

Overall this season is lame and I am ready for ABC to find someone completely new and fresh. I will say I am so looking forward to The Bachelor Pad. Now that should be INTERESTING!!!!

BIRTHDAY Weekend

I had a wonderful birthday!! Thank you to all my bloggy/twitter friends for all the birthday messages. Wow I am truly blessed beyond words. My best friend came up early Saturday morning and we enjoyed the day with shopping, pedicures and lots of girl time. It was her first time up to Lufkin since Todd and I have been married. Her visit was long over due.

Todd took me to the ATT store that morning to get my I Phone. To say I was excited is an understatement. I didn’t get the I Phone 4 just the 3GS but it has the 4.0 software on it. I am officially addicted to my phone. I just thought i was addicted to my blackberry, I am in a whole other ballgame now. LOL. What are your favorite apps? I have Pandora, FB, Echofon, Ebay, Lose It, Holy Bible, Flixter…..just to name a few. I am constantly at the app store looking for new apps. I am in love. ;)009

My bestie made this glass all by herself. Isn’t it so cute. I can’t believe she painted it herself. I told her she needs to start selling them on Etsy!!

She also gave me theses cute wine tags. Love them and I can’t wait to have people over so we can use them.

We started the day off with a little bubbly in toast to my bday. 011012 014015

We went to dinner at my favorite place Hole In One and then went out afterwards. I had a wonderful time with all of my favorite people. Thanks to Julie and Mallory who came to dinner and hung out with me that night to celebrate. I told Todd that this was the best birthday yet!!!

Sunday night we went over to my in-laws to open presents and go out to dinner. We had dinner at Cafe Del Rio and it was delicious. They also spoiled me with gifts. 026

Love this reusable bag. I can’t wait to go to the grocery store and use it. Isn’t it so cute :) I got a smaller one too that I am using as my lunch bag.

Aren’t these shoes the cutest? My SIL got them for me. I can’t wait to wear them. I am a shoeaholic and always on the hunt for a great pair of shoes. I am loving these shoes and so glad to add them to my collection. My goal is to one day have 100 pair of shoes :) I know I am crazy right. 029

I will leave you with this cute picture of my hubby. 7 years ago today we met at Victoria’s Secret. Man how time flies when your having fun!! Little did I know when I took that summer job that I would meet my hubby. God definitely had a plan that summer. :)

Let the Birthday Celebrations Begin…

YAY for my birthday today!! :) I started celebrating last weekend with my family. Don’t you just love birthdays? I know I do. Its the one day of the year where you get to celebrate being you. I am officially getting into my late twenties. (tear) Where has the time gone? I still feel like I am 20 some days. I can’t believe I am actually going to be 27. My mom definitely spoiled me on birthday this year. Love her so much, thanks mom. :) She always gets me the best gifts. I asked for REAL pearl stud earrings and my wish was granted. I love them and have been wearing them every day. Pearl is my birthstone so I have always loved anything pearl. 001 004

Love this necklace. Its so unique, now I just have to find the perfect outfit to go with it. It reminds of Caroline in Texas. haha

003

On Saturday after my dads ordination I received my gift from my brothers girlfriend. She did so good. I am a jewelry-aholic. Seriously. My huge free standing jewelry box is overflowing and I am thinking I already need a bigger one. Kate got me the cutest necklace and bracelet from Charming Charlie’s. I have never been there. I am now dying to go. Apparently all their jewelry is organized by color. I would be in HEAVEN!! haha. I am going to make it a point next time I am in Houston to go to Charming Charlie’s and Sam Moon. I have been to neither and always hear about how great both are. 002

Thursday night I was supposed to go to dinner with  my in-laws, but I ended up having to work late so we are going to reschedule for Sunday night. . I have been one spoiled girl this week. : ) I love all my family so much. I am so blessed!!!

Yesterday at work I was spoiled with lunch and a cookie cake, my favorite!! I am not a big cake person but I love me some cookie cake. Then around 2 o clock our evening lady came in on her day off and brought us all coffee and that allowed me to be able to leave on time. I have the best coworkers!!

Now I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my BFF for more than 20 years. She hasn’t been to Lufkin since before Todd and I got married. I am super excited to hang out with her this weekend and for her to see our house. I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will be back with a full recap on Monday of my bday weekend.

Oh and guess what else I am finally getting an iphone!!! Super pumped :)

XOXO

Anna’s Photography

While we were in Oklahoma my niece Anna decided that she would like to take up photography. She kept taking my camera away and taking pictures. Of course she had to have a little help from her Aunt KK. I just wanted to show off her pictures. She did pretty good. Who knows maybe she will grow up and want to be a photographer.

Here are a few more pictures from our trip. :)051 052  055 056 062  057 060

Ordination Day

christ churchcloister-courtyd On the 19th of June, our family celebrated my dad’s ordination  into The Episcopal Church (Diocese of Texas) at Christ Church Cathedral, Downtown Houston. Twelve ordinands  were ordained in a beautiful service led by, The Rt. Rev. C. Andrew Doyle, Bishop of Texas.

Last week we spent a wonderful 5 days in the beautiful state of Oklahoma. We drove up to Broken Bow, OK on Saturday to spend a few days at Beavers Bend State Park. We enjoyed relaxing and spending quality time with our family. I got lots of reading done while I was there. I started reading “The Help” and I can not put it down. Its so good!! I was also glad to spend lots of time with my precious niece Anna. She is such a doll and I cherish every moment I spend with her. She also loves her Aunt KK. The state park is so pretty and serene.

How cute is  my niece….

We went to a great winery there called Girls Gone Wine. All of their wines were really good. They had mostly sweet wines but a few white and red wines as well. We bought a shiraz style wine and one of their sweet wines. Its called Twisted Sister and it is Pomegranate flavored. Its so yummy. I can’t wait to taste it. They also have the cutest gift shop too. I could have bought the whole store, they had tons of great gifts.

Overall we had a great and wonderful trip!!!

PS: I am using new software to blog. I am now using Windows Live Writer and still playing with it. Bear with me.
