PRAYERS needed

Yesterday our newest addition to our ever growing family was born. Todd's cousin and his wife had their 2nd little girl. Miss Macy Julianna Hicks was born 7:47 am via c section. She was 8lbs 4.5oz and 19 inches long. Everything looked perfect. She is the most beautiful baby. Yesterday afternoon they noticed she wasn't breathing like she should. She was shipped to Houston yesterday afternoon. She is on a ventilator but they have already decreased her oxygen and she is doing very well. The doctors are saying she looks very good. I was able to be at the hospital with Callie before they took Macy to Houston. She had her eyes open and was very alert. Everything is looking good, but I just ask that you keep this precious family in your prayers. Callie will be discharged today, so she can go to Houston to be with her husband and Macy. We know that God is always in charge and he will bring Macy home soon. I know he will heal her and everything will be just fine. We can't wait for her to come home. They are saying it might be 1-2 weeks.

Isn't she just BEAUTIFUL!!

Diet and Exercise Update

I am on day 3 of my South Beach Diet. It is going good so far. I may have cheated just a little on the first day. I may or may not had 3 slices of pizza for dinner. It was Bachelor night and I couldn't resist okay. HAHA. I haven't had a hard time at all though. Its actually been easier than what I thought. I bought the South Beach Diet Quick and Easy Cook Book last week and cooked my 2nd recipe out of the book tonight. Both recipes I have cooked have been delish. I will give you a run down of what I have been eating just in case you are interested. I have a protein shake for breakfast and 2 turkey sausage patties. For lunch I either have a salad loaded with veggies and chicken or tuna salad(with mustard instead of mayo). I also eat jello for a little dessert at lunch. Some of my snacks include, celery with laughing cow swiss cheese, string cheese, almonds and turkey jerkey. It is a good thing I love cheese. I don't know if I could survive on this diet if I didn't. For dinner I am cooking recipes out of the SBD cook book. I have been quite impressed with the recipes. Even my hubby likes them, so that is always a plus :) Tonight we had Baked Pesto Chicken and it was so yummy. It is the easiest thing I have ever cooked. I should have taken a picture to show you how yummy it looked. Sorry, I will next time. I am trying to cook my way through this cook book. We will see how it goes.

I thought I would catch ya'll up on how The Shred is going. I am now on Day 12. I haven't done it consistently every single day. I usually take off Saturday and Sunday for rest days. I am now on to Level 2 and it is kicking my booty. Looking back, Level 1 is so easy now. haha. I don't know if I will survive these 10 days on Level 2. I am so sore, my arms, back, legs, and bum all hurt. I can't even imagine what Level 3 is going to be like. I can definitely tell a difference in my arms and legs. They are so much stronger. I am also starting to see more definition in my arms, which I am loving by the way. :) The Shred is definitely hard but Jillian motivates you so much and with it being 20 minutes it goes by super fast. I am still enjoying it and I haven't gotten bored with it. I plan on starting back to boot camp in Feb. I haven't weighed myself yet to see if I have lost any weight. I think I will wait and weigh myself on Sunday to see if there is a difference. Wish me Luck!!

I hope everyone is having a great day. I am sorry I haven't had many pictures lately. Life in our house has been kind of boring. Tomorrow we are going to comedy night with friends and I promise to have pics posted. It should be fun and I am looking forward to it. Hope you all have a good night. :)

Bachelor = LAME"O"

Last nights episode was lame. I am so over this season. It is getting worse by the episode. It was so boring!! I think most of it is because Jake. I liked him in the beginning but now he just bores me to death. I can't help but just watch and laugh and make fun of everything. I could care less who he picks in the end now. Normally I am all about The Bachelor/Bachelorette but this season is just plain terrible!!! On to my impression of the girls last night.

Tenley- She has become my new number one favorite. I think her and Jake match perfectly personality and looks wise. I really do think they would make a great couple and could have a wonderful future together.

Ali- I still like her, but man she has become a little caddy. I can't believe the way she talks about Vienna and her attitude. She needs to focus on her and Jake's relationship and quit talking about the other girls when you have one on one time. I think she might be out next week if she doesn't quit talking about Vienna to Jake.

Vienna- Speaking of sausage, she still gets on my nerves. I don't really care for her but Jake seems to truly be falling for her. I don't get the chemistry there. I am ready for her to go, but I think he might pick her in the end. They are saying it is a SHOCKING ending. Of all the girls left Vienna would be the most shocking choice.

Corrie- Shes okay to me. We don't really see enough of her to make a prediction about her and Jake. I think she is a beautiful woman and she seems pretty down to earth.

Gia- Oh my goodness, there date looked so scripted. I seriously had to cover my eyes. It was so awkward and uncomfortable. Spin the bottle? Seriously? Are we in the 5th grade. I couldn't stand her little fake giggle either. She is Todd's favorite, but I could care less about her. I do think she will make it to the final 3.

I will say, I was proud of Jake for not giving out another rose if he is not feeling it. I agreed with his choices and thought Jessie and Ashleigh should go home. Jessie has never even talked to Jake and I still don't understand how she made it this far. Ashleigh's one on one time was just terrible. I think she had one too many drinks, and she needed to pull that dress down. Her booty was on the verge of showing!

Don't forget to join After the Final Tweet with @daveandbrit, @babblingabby @duetdiva. These girls tweet throughout the show and they are hilarious. You can also follow me on twitter at @karahsfa06. I protect my tweets but just request to follow.

I made a cute banner/sign last night for my friend Callie. She is due with her 2nd little girl on Thursday. We are so excited to have another little girl in the family. Macy Julianna will be making her appearance Thursday morning. (will post pic of it later)

I also made one for The Main Event. What do you think? I am loving using my Cricut to make these cute signs. They are so much fun.
I hope everyone has a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!! haha :)

Friday Ramblings

Thank goodness its Friday! I love my Fridays!! It is so nice when Friday decides to grace us with her presence and we get 2 days off from the hectic work week. Sorry my posts have been so random this week. Not much has been going on in The Stracener household. Today I am just going to do a post of my ramblings.

1. I am super excited that Mrs. Newlywed Stilettos, now Mama Marshall is coming to visit me in April. She was my first bloggy friend that was not my IRL(in real life) friend. I went to Maryland in October to visit and she will be coming to Texas this spring. I am so excited for a girls weekend.
2. Somebody stole my hubcap while I was in church. I parked in the alley because I was running late and I never park there, so I think it happened then. My wonderful hubby has scored me a new hubcap for $48. Yay, now I don't have to take it to the dealership and have them rip me off. Its all about connections and who you know right? haha

3. I have officially set my weight loss goal. I want to lose 15lbs by April 22nd. Why that date? Its our 4 year anniversary and I think that its a reasonable goal. I know I can lose 15lbs by April. I am still doing Jillians 30 day shred and I can definitely tell a difference in my endurance and strength. I am only on day 10 because I have skipped a few days.

4. Yesterday was a beautiful day. It felt like spring time so I put on my running shoes and went on a little run. I am proud to say I ran 2 miles and I haven't ran since the summer. WOO HOO. I was very proud of myself. I am going to get back into running, I miss it. I am one of those people that actually enjoys running.

5. I have spending some quiet time with God and really asking him to lead my life and show me what my purpose is in this life. I have been counting my blessings and living day to day. I know that I am so blessed in my life and I just want him to know, for that I am truly THANKFUL!!

6. I am participating in Kellys Korner Show Us Your Life today. Its my first time to participate and I am so excited. Today we are showing our favorite places to shop.

Ya'll know that I am such a bargain shopper. I rarely buy anything full price. I always wait for the sales or coupons. Some of my favorites places are of course Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Target, Old Navy.

Some of my new favorite places to shop online are Forever 21

They have all the latest trends and they are at a great price. You can't find a better place to buy such cute cheap clothes.
I think this dress would be great for a bridal or baby shower in the spring time. I love the color!

There clothes are very classy and never go out of style.

This top is adorable.
This makes me so ready for Spring. I love how this outfit is put together. Its super cute. I need help in that dept. Its hard for me to put outfits together.
My newest online obsession is Shop Ruche. They have some really cute dress and cardigans. There dresses are pretty cheap too. I am currently drooling over this dress. How cute is that? I just read online its currently SOLD OUT :( Maybe they will get some more because I think it would be adorable to wear to a wedding.
I think this dress would be super cute with leggings and black flat boots.
Okay well that's all I have for today. I hope you all have a good weekend. I can't wait to see everybody favorite places to shop.

Vidalia Chop Wizard

My brother is notorious for getting my mom the latest and greatest tv infomercial product. You know what I'm talking about... For example, the sham wow, air bake pans, a miracle thaw, snuggie, onion chopper. Every Christmas he gets her some type of infomercial product. It's a running joke to see what she will receive each Christmas. This year she of course got the Snuggie, a zebra one to be exact. It was too funny and she loved it. I am not gonna lie, I was a little jealous I didn't get one. :( Last year she received the Vidalia Chop Wizard and ever since she got one, I have wanted one too. This thing is amazing! I have needed a chopper for quite some time but just never bought one.

Well, never fear, because my brother came to the rescue this Christmas and bought me the Vidalia Chop Wizard. I was so excited. I am always chopping bell peppers and onions for a salad, so this was perfect. This is the best thing. It will cut anything, even apples. It's so easy to use and now instead of chopping up just part of an onion or a bell pepper for my salad, I can go ahead and chop up the whole thing. I put the rest of the chopped onions and bell peppers in little snack bags to use for the rest of the week to put in my salad. The chopper comes with 2 different size grates, a small one and a large one. Its easy to clean and easy to store. Have you ever used one? If not, you don't know what your missing out on. You can find them now at Target or Bed Bath and Beyond.

It has become my new favorite kitchen tool.

Bachelor Recap

What did you guys think of The Bachelor last night? It wasn't as drama filled as I had hoped. Darn :( haha. There was the usual cat fight in the girls mansion. Every season there is that one girl that all the other girls don't like. This season it is Vienna or as I like to call her Vienna Sausage! haha. Sorry, that is all I can think of when they say her name. She kind of brought on the cat fight by herself. Nobody really wants to hear all about your date and your intimate moments. I mean come on, there are 15 girls fighting for one guy. Vienna they don't want to hear about you kissing their potential husband. I don't really care for Vienna. She is not one of my favs, but it appears that she is a favorite of little Jakey's. He seems to really like her. Their whole crying, scared scene before they bungee jumped was a little much. Come on Jake, you are supposed to be the man here.

Next we have the group date and what do you know Crazy Michelle is finally getting to go on a date. Little does she know what the future holds. BAHAHA! The girls go to a comedy club and have to do a little improv stand up comedy. Okay, I would have lost it right there. I would have acted just like Ashleigh!! There is no way I would be able to come up with something funny with a LIVE audience....talk about putting on the pressure. Most of the girls did not impress me at all. Corrie really lost me, I liked her until she started making fun of all the girls. I thought it was kind of rude and inappropriate. I could have never done that. I guess it showed her real side though. It seems like she might be a little catty, wouldn't you say? My favorite on that date was Ashleigh, she was very real and got up there and told a couple of blonde jokes and was done. She kept it classy. She might be a new favorite of mine :)

Michelle finally gets her alone time with her Jakey Poo and of course she starts talking and crying at the same time. This girl is crying every time she talks to Jake. It is getting a little old sweetheart. She tells him how she is here to find love and marriage, and how she wants to find a husband. She then precedes to ask him if she can have a kiss. Can we say AWKWARD? This had to be the most awkward moment for Jake. After they kiss she tells him that he has to give her more than that. What? You are not getting it girlfriend, he obviously didn't want to kiss you in the first place. She starts telling him she doesn't know if she can stay, blah blah blah and then she asks him if he wants her to stay and finally Jake steps up and basically tells her no I think you should go. He tells her we don't have to wait for the rose ceremony. Haha, I am loving Jake at this point. Kudos to Jake for stepping up to the plate and finally making a good decision!! He definitely won brownie points with me for getting rid of her.

Ella gets the next one on one date and they go to Sea World. It was a sweet date because Jake had her son there. They enjoyed their day at Sea World as a cute little family of 3. I thought the date was lacking chemistry, but I do like her. I just don't know if she is the one for Jake.

My picks are Ali, Tenley, Kathryn and my new fav Ashleigh!

I am hoping next episode will be a little MORE DRAMA AND SHOCKING SURPRISES!! It looks like it will be a good one. Stay Tuned :)

Weekend Review

This weekend we had The Bridal Market and it was a huge success. We had a total of 97 brides come through. The Fredonia Hotel in Nacogdoches was a great place to have it. I was so happy with the turn out.

I am spending the day at home today because I am feeling a little under the weather. I came down with a sore throat on Saturday and it just got worse as the day progressed. NyQuil became my best friend that night. Sunday I woke up and was feeling much better until last night. I did not sleep at all. I was coughing, had a stuffy nose, and tossing and turning. I couldn't breathe half the night so I was just up and awake. I already had the day off because I had originally taken it off so my friend Julie and I could go to Dallas Market. I decided since I didn't sleep at all last night, I would go ahead and stay home, and try to enjoy my day off. I hope I feel better by tonight because its our weekly girls night to watch The Bachelor.

It was a sad day in The Stracener household yesterday. :( We finally took down the rest of our Christmas decorations. We had taken most of it down but we still had 2 trees up and the mantle decorations up. I told my husband that the day had come, and it was time to take it all down. It's always a little sad taking it all down, but then it feels good to having everything back in its place again. To be honest, I was getting a little sick of the decorations... haha. We have so many ornaments on our tree that it took 2 hours just to take the ornaments off. Crazy right?

We recently got new wood floors in our bedroom and they look amazing. A week ago Bentley threw up FOUR times on our carpet in our bedroom. We could not get the stain out for anything. We tried every little remedy, nope nothing was working. We decided to just go ahead and rip up the carpet and put in wood floors. I was apprehensive at first because I really like carpet in the bedroom. It makes it comfortable and cozy, but when I got home from work the other day and saw the wood floors completed I LOVED IT!! It makes our bedroom look so much bigger and clean. Now we have to find 2 runners to put on either side of the bed. Anyone know a good place to find 2 runners that look alike, but do not necessarily match.

I hope you all had a good weekend. Don't forget to watch The Bachelor tonight and look for my review about it tomorrow. Happy MLK Day!!!

Changes coming soon...

My talented and wonderful friend K. Marlin is designing a new blog header for my blog. I have been needing to update my blog look for quite some time now. I am super excited about what she has shown me so far. I think you guys are going to like it. I didn't even give her any direction, I just told her I needed a new header and she took it from there. Her design is so me and I LOVE IT!! I hope to change the layout soon too. So readers be looking for some changes happening soon. I promise you will like it. I told her she should go into blog designing or graphic design. She really has an eye for it.

I hope everyone is having a good week. Is it just me or has this week just drug by? UGH! Usually the weeks seem to go by pretty fast for me, but for some reason this week has taken forever to pass. TGIF tomorrow :) I think I have been ready for the weekend since Monday. haha. Do you ever feel like that? Its just one of those weeks where the weekend could not come fast enough. That has definitely been this week for me. Hopefully next week will be better.

This weekend The Main Event is having their Winter Bridal Market in Nacogdoches. It should be fun.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend :)

Seda France Candles

Todd's sister recently gave him the best smelling candle. Have ya'll heard of Seda France candles? Oh my they smell so good. He has it in his business, The Main Event and it smells delicious. They are seriously the best candles ever, plus they smell up the whole place. There showroom is huge and you can smell this candle as soon as you walk in the door. I can't imagine what it would be like in your house. The one he has is Citron Du Sud Classic Toile Pagoda Box Candle. It smells very light and airy with a hint of citrus. I like the Pagoda Box candles because they come in the cutest little box. I can't wait to order some for our house. I am trying to get Todd to buy them wholesale and sale them at The Main Event.
Check out their website http://www.sedafrance.com/
I promise you won't be disappointed. You might think they are little pricey for a candle, but I promise you won't regret buying one. These candles would make great hostess gifts or for that someone you don't know what to buy for. ENJOY!! I am headed to the website right now to buy one for our house.
What the website says about their candles...

Jakey Pakey :)

Okay girls you know what today is...Bachelor Recap. Did you watch last night? What are your thoughts on the whole shabang?? It was full of TEARS and SCANDAL. Lots of tears were shed. I don't get these girls and their emotions. Seriously, keep those eyes dry!!

First, we get tears or almost tears because Christina is freaking out over the photo shoot. She then precedes to say her hands are as sweaty as a 5 year old kid. Did she just say that on nat'l tv...oh yes she did. HAHA. So, to make herself feel better she decides she needs to drink...ALOT. Come on now, seriously get it together girlfriend. Have fun with it, its just a photo shoot and your with Jake, you need to be workin' it!

Next, we have Michelle crying again. Does this girl ever stop? She starts wallowing her sorrow because she doesn't get a date AT ALL. She then decides she's going to pack her bags because she is leaving. If she is not going to get a date with Jake and not going to get any one on one time, then she is out the door. In the midst of her telling the girls she is leaving she's pouring out the tears. BAHAHA. What makes it even better the girls are trying to get her to stay. Okay Tenley get some common sense..HELLO that is one less girl you have to worry about stealing Jakey Pakey away. I would have been like okay goodbye and let her leave. She is a crazy cat anyways. How can we forget at the rose ceremony when she finally gets her one on one time with our Mr. Jakey Poo and then is interrupted by Katherine. Michelle basically tells Katherine that they weren't done but okay she can have them. As she is saying this she is given Miss Kentucky girl the worst look ever. OH MY I would watch my back. My girlfriends and I said Michell=FATAL ATTRACTION!! My little Jakey Pakey better watch it and the girls better watch their backs. When is he going to get rid of her? We obviously know she is around for ratings and to see what stunt she will pull next. haha

Next, we see tears again at the Rose Ceremony after the girls find out about Rozzy's scandal. HELLO??? Why are you crying? None of you liked her to begin with and now your competition is gone and that means one more rose for you. I don't understand once again why they are all crying. Jakey didn't even cry although he was on the verge.

So what did you think about the big scandal? I definitely feel it was blown a little out of proportion, but come on she had to do something for them to kick her off the show and fire the producer. She also had the perfect chance to redeem herself but no all she said was "I don't see why my personal life has anything to do with the show" UH Rozzy in case you didn't get the memo you are here for Jake not the staff. Apparently she is coming out saying she did nothing wrong blah blah blah. Who do you believe? You had to be on camera girlfriend, I'm sure they have clear proof of you and your scandalous behavior or "inappropriate behavior" as Chris Harrison says. I couldn't believe Jake gave her that rose to begin with. What was he thinking? Oh sorry I guess he wasn't he was just thinking about her figure.

Oh yes and lets not forget the cheesy part of the whole show. They started playing On The Wings of Love when Ali and Jake were soaring high in the sky. OMG. Me and my girlfriends had to bust out laughing on that one. That was the cheesiest thing in Bachelor history!!

My favorites still are Ali, Tenley and Miss Kentucky(Katherine). How could you not love Ali. She is so cute and natural. She seems very genuine and someone I could be friends with. I still like Tenley but she needs to lay off the tears. I think shes very sweet and nurturing and that her and Jake would be perfect for each other. I mean her and Jake's personalities are just alike. We haven't seen much of Katherine but I like her. She seems very down to earth. I hope they show more of her in the next few episodes.

Okay sorry this is so long but there was so much to talk about. LOL. Also my girl Brit and 2 other of her girlfriends are tweeting all during The Bachelor and they are hilarious. Be sure to tune in next week to After The Final Tweet. You can read about it here.

Weekend Review

Hello lovely readers! How has your weekend been? I would say mine has been great but being on call for work really puts a damper on things. I can't ever really make plans because I never know when I will be getting called in for a surgery case. My weekend consisted of a dinner gathering with friends on Friday night. Lots of yummy appetizers, desserts and wine was consumed along with great conversation while listening to Christmas music and sitting by a roaring fire. Yes you heard me correctly we listened to Christmas music and it was fab!! :) I'm not ready for the Christmas season to be over quite yet. I still want to continue to celebrate..haha. To be honest Todd and I still have our tree up, our mantle decorated and I also have a black and white Christmas tree up in the guest bedroom. We are not quite ready to take it down yet but I am sure we will be doing so this week or weekend. It's time to put it all away and wait for next year to come to take all back out again.

I had to come in to work for a few hours on Saturday morning. I was out by lunch time so that was nice. I honestly don't mind working on the weekends its just the not knowing but that I don't like. I would rather know if there are going to be cases or not, then sitting around the house and waiting for the lovely beeper to go off.

I hit up my favorite store Hobby Lobby on Saturday. They had some of their scrap booking stuff on sale so I went to check it out. If you have read my blog in the past then you know my love for scrap booking. It brings out what little creative side I have. I received a Cricut for Christmas so every chance I get I am playing around with it and learning new things. Hobby Lobby had some of its paper on clearance 10 sheets for $1. How could I resist? That is the cheapest you can ever find paper. It was also the bigger paper 12x12 and it was all kinds of paper not just seasonal paper.

I then may have stopped in at Belk Department Store, I mean they are right next to each other so why not. Plus Belk is always having a great sale. I can find so many bargains there and now that they are carrying Kristen Davis' line I find myself in there a lot!!
(sorry the coloring is bad in this pic. I took it will my cell phone)
I had been eyeing these boots for a while now but I could not bring myself to pay full price for them. Let me clarify I NEVER pay full price for a shoe because they ALWAYS go on sale. There are a few exceptions which is if they are cheap to begin with and by cheap I mean under 40 bucks. They had them on sale a couple of times but still they were a little pricey to me. Yesterday they were 75% off and rang up for $32. I knew it was meant to be!! Now to find something to wear with them. I have a few things but I would love to find the perfect little dress to wear with tights and my new purple boots.

I'm stuck at work most of the day today, but I can't complain because at least I am getting paid overtime and that means I have tomorrow off!! YAY! I plan on cooking homemade chicken and dumplings tonight if I get out of here on time. I love homemade chicken and dumplings and they are very easy to make, plus Todd loves them too :)

Tomorrow is The Bachelor :) According to perezhilton.com they reveal which girl is dating the producer. We shall see if his prediction is correct. Be on the lookout for my recap on Tuesday. I hope all you lovelies had a FAB weekend :)

Getting Thin for 2010

Okay readers I am jumping back on the band wagon. I am back on the fit train for 2010. I know it seems so cliche to say oh its a new year and I'm going to lose weight but once again like last year I am getting fit and in shape. If you read my blog last year I talked about going to boot camp. Well the results of that were IT WORKED!! I was wearing a size 6 again and my body was in the best shape it has ever been. I was so strong and my body felt firm and toned. I was also running 3 miles at that time too. I stayed with it until our family vacation to Florida in June and that's where I slacked off big time. I went the whole summer and didn't work out once. Looking back I am mad at myself for not sticking with it. I am not as heavy as I was this time last year but the numbers on the scale are starting to creep back up and my clothes are getting tight. I refuse to buy any bigger clothes!! So here I am a year later and still struggling with my weight. I am blogging about it hoping you (my readers) will hold me to working out and becoming healthier. By me writing it down I know I have to stick with it and I hope ya'll will encourage me to do so.

I bought Jillian Michaels 30 day shred several months ago and I did it one time!! I was so sore I could barely sit down or walk for 3 days. I know ridiculous right. On that one day that I did the DVD I then proceeded to go out to eat with my hubby and eat Mexican food. Hey I thought I deserved it after working out hard with my trainer Jillian. That was probably the worst thing to eat after such a good work out but once again my stomach won and it wanted mexican!! Now that its 2010 I am back to working out and have started up again with the 30 day shred. This is such a great work out and best of all it only takes 20 minutes. Everyone has 20 minutes to spare sometime during their day. This time I promise to stick with it. I'm thinking about blogging weekly about my progress with Ms. Jillian. I hope that at the end of 30 days I will be able to see some progress. If you think about it 30 days really isn't that long. It goes by quite fast. I am also planning on going back to boot camp because believe it or not I actually enjoyed it. Yes it was tough and I thought I was going to die half the time but looking back it was the best I have ever felt in a long time. I had so much more energy and I felt so good about myself. Lately I have just been feeling blah and nothing looks cute on me and my clothes aren't fitting as good as they used to. I know it is because I need to exercise.

And hey if I am really lucky maybe I can look like this by April or May?? haha yah right...

So here's to 201o and getting thin and staying thin. If any of you have any good healthy recipes send them my way please :)

Lets Talk Bachelor

OH MY did you watch The Bachelor last night? It was interesting to say the least. HAHA. I cooked tomato basil soup and grilled cheese for dinner and then sat down to enjoy the premier of the Bachelor. My friend Julie came over to watch it with me. We laughed the entire time. I have never seen a season this cheesy before.

Let me first say I love Jake!! I think he is so sweet, caring and down to earth. Yes he can be a cheese ball but that's what I love about him. What can I say, I like the good guys :) I thought he was so cute acting all nervous with 25 women. I am not quite sure his wife is in this bunch of girls.

Now lets talk about the ladies....

There are only about 3 or 4 that I really like. It seems as though there is already going to be a stalker, a cheater, and a emotional one. Can you guess who I am talking about? Michelle is the stalker, she already said that she is in love with Jake. Come one girlfriend you just met him!! Apparently one girl is dating one of the producers on the side. I think that might be Rozalyn but you never know. Tenley is going to be emotional. I really like her but the crying episode after her one on one time with Jake was a little much. I can't believe she got the first kiss either. These are girls are definitely aggressive this season. And Channy....OH Channy now that line she said uncalled for. I can't believe she said that on national television. In case you missed it she told Jake "You can land your plane on my landing strip any day" OH MY OH MY!! What was she thinking? Thank goodness Jake did not keep her. Then we have the girl that changes out of her dress to dress up in her stewardess outfit. Some of the girls were even jealous that they did not do that. BAHAHAHA. That was awkward and cheesy at the same time. My 3 picks for the final 3 are Ali, Tenley and Elizabeth. They all seem down to earth and have good morals and values unlike half of the girls he chose.

One thing is for sure, this season is to be full of drama, scandals, tears and probably a few cheesy scenes!!! I can't wait for next weeks episode. 3 of my girlfriends plan on getting together every Monday to watch and discuss it. If you missed this weeks episode you can catch it online at ABC.com or you can check on Jimmy Choos blog for a hilarious recap. Be sure to tune in next week, I am pretty sure it won't disappoint.
I plan on blogging my thoughts about The Bachelor every Tuesday. Let me know your thoughts on this season and what your impressions of the ladies are. I have been enjoying reading everyone's opinions today.

IM BAAAAACK!!! 2010

Yes you read the title correct. I am back to blogging for 2010!! Did you guys miss me? I sure did miss you. I loved blogging and enjoyed it so much that I figured what better way to start out the new year. I plan on taking a little different approach than I had before. Sometimes I re read my old posts and think that post was so boring! haha. So YAY for 2010 and being back in the blog world :) I have kept up with everyone's blog over the past year and I just realized how much I have missed it. I hope to at least post weekly. No promises though... Its nice to go back and look at old posts to see what I was thinking then or what was happening in our life. Its nice to have a little journal/scrapbook to look back on.

Where to even begin?? A lot has happened in year since I quit blogging so I will just start at the beginning with with last years New Years Resolutions.

1. Become closer to God and read the bible daily. (I definitely have become closer to God and have a better relationship with him. I am sad to say I didn't read the bible daily but plan to work on that this year)

2. Attend Sunday School on a regular basis. (I did keep this resolution, we became very involved in Sunday School and now our sunday school class is evolving into a church- more on that later)

3. Work out. (I am proud to say that I stuck with boot camp until the end of June and then after the florida vacation slacked off big time. Its time to jump back on the band wagon)

4. Cook more and try healthy recipes. (I have cooked so much more than ever and have enjoyed finding new recipes. I love cookbooks.)

5. Be the best wife I can be and keep up with the house better. (This is a daily job for me. I always strive to be a better wife and homemaker)

6. Make more time to talk and visit with friends. ( I think I have done a pretty good job keeping up with my friends, but there is always room for improvement. Having close girlfriends to rely on is so important. )

7. Go on a vacation with my hubby. (We went on 2 vacations in 2009. We went to Florida with my family for a week and Todd and I were able to go to Colorado Springs in September.)

8. Read more books. ( I have read quite a few book and am currently reading The Twilight Series. I know I am a little behind, forgive me)

9. Save money. (Well I haven't quite saved as I should have. This year I am going to work hard on saving money and paying off bills. Its a NUMBER ONE priority!!)

10. Try to have a good attitude every day at work. (I am still working on this. I have worked on having a more positive attitude, but there are days where you just dont feel like being at work. Everyone has those days right...)

11. Talk my hubby in to having children. (ha- that will always be a work in progress. We aren't ready just yet. We enjoy it just being the two of us :) )

12. Excercise on a regular basis. I put this twice last year. haha. (See number 3 answer)

13. Make a trip up to Maryland to meet my bloggy friend Tracy. ( I made the trip up to Maryland in October and it was wonderful. It felt like we had known each other our whole life and we continue to keep in touch on a weekly basis. We are now planning her trip to Texas.)

Overall I think I did pretty good on my New Years Resolutions last year. I will keep those same resolutions and strive to do better at all of them. I am looking forward to see what 2010 has in store for me. I believe it will be a great year : )
