90210 Flasback

Any of you ladies original 90210 fans? I don't know about you but I watched the show from the very beginning and loved it. I was a huge fan. I remember coming home from school and not being able to sit on the couch with my mom and watch 90210. I will say its my ALL TIME FAVORITE show. There has never been another show that I have loved that much. I remember waiting for the day that they would put it on dvd so I could buy all the seasons. I was even on the Amazon waiting list. Yes I was a crazy person like that. haha.

This afternoon on twitter a bunch of the girls got to talking about the original 90210. It was the hot topic. LOL :)

My question is were you a fan? Did you watch it religiously? Were you Team Kelly or Team Brenda? Were you Dylan or Brandon fan? What was your favorite episode?

I never did like Brenda but I will say that I liked Brenda and Dylan together better than Kelly and Dylan. I loved Kelly and Brandon and always wanted them to get married. I was so sad when they called off their wedding. I always loved David and Donna from the beginning and knew they would get married some day. I loved how they ended the series with David and Donna's wedding. It was such a sweet ending to such a great series!!

Remember Steve and all his antics and girlfriends. He was such a mess. Loved his character too. I will never forget when Steve had the hots for this one lady and he just knew that she liked him back. It turned out she was a man. To me that was the funniest scene ever. I crack up every time I watch that episode.

On the hunt...

Ok ladies I am on the hunt for some cute black wedges. I have been searching all over the internet and can't find anything I like. I am kind of picky though. I want all black wedges, no cork bottom. The whole shoe needs to be black even the sole. I want them to look a little dressy because I am wearing them with a dress to a rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal dinner is outside so I need wedges or flats to wear. All my shopping buddies be out on the lookout for me and let me know what you find. I also do not want to pay a pretty penny either. I am looking for cute, fashionable and reasonably priced.

This week has been super busy at work and I just feel like I have had no time to blog. Plus lets just be real here my life is been pretty boring lately. I have had nothing exciting going on. :( I am getting my hair trimmed today and bangs cut. Yay I am so excited, I'm long overdue for a trim. I will post pics tomorrow probably. I am meeting up with 2 of my favorite girlfriends for drinks and girl chat at one of their houses. I'm excited about having some girl time and sitting outside enjoying the fresh air while having a nice glass of wine. Sounds like a perfect evening to me. My mom is coming up for the day on Sunday. We are having our first "official" church service. We are officially chartering our new church on Sunday and this is such an exciting time for us. So my mom is coming up to help celebrate. I always look forward to her visits. :)

Well that's about all my exciting news. haha. This blog post was pretty boring but its the best I could do today. I promise more exciting blog posts to come. Random Friday Thoughts

Happy Friday friends!!!
I don't really have anything interesting to say but I have been wanting to blog so here goes my random Friday thoughts. Enjoy my randomness :)

1. I bought my first romper today. I think they are so cute and have been on the search for the perfect one. I am so excited and it is very flattering, which is always a plus. Its cuter in person, if you follow me on Twitter I posted a pic.
2. I got off work early today, so I enjoyed my day with a little retail therapy. There is nothing like retail therapy. Gotta love it. I also went to Target and bought a pair of jean capris. The 2 pair I have are about 5 years old. I think it was time don't you?
3. The new Bachelorette with Ali starts May 24th. I am so EXCITED!! I can't wait to see what drama will unfold this season. I am also looking forward to posting recaps again. Stay Tuned.

4. I am officially ADDICTED to Glee!!! I won the first season through a giveaway and have been watching it every night. I cannot get enough of this show. I love all the singing and dancing, its just one of those shows that puts you in a good mood. :)
5. I am loving the summer time weather. I love how its still light outside at 8 o clock in the evening. It just makes it seem like the day lasts so much longer.
6. I am on call this weekend and not looking forward to it, but the one good thing is; I am off on Monday. Next week is a 4 day week for me :)
7. I am loving this wine, thanks to my friend Tracy. Its so yummy, not to sweet and it is sparkling. You can find it at Walmart. :)
8. I am getting my hair cut (trimmed) on Monday. I like my hair being long but I haven't had it trimmed since January so its long overdue. I am thinking of getting bangs like the picture below. What do you think? I want a change but I want to keep my hair long.9. I am still trying to finish reading The Last Song. This may be one of my least favorite books of Nicholas Sparks. Normally I can breeze right through his books but this one is taking me forever. I want to finish the book before I see the movie.
10. Next Sunday we are officially chartering our new church Christ Congregational Church with over 110 charter members. This is such an exciting time and I am so thankful and blessed that Todd and I are apart of it. I know God will continue to do wonderful things for our church.

I'm a Winner!!!

My twitter/bloggy friend Andrea had a whole week of giveaways last week on her blog. If you haven't checked her blog out, you should. She is quite funny!! Oh and did I tell you that she has the cutest little baby boy Cooper. He is a doll!! Anyways I am always entering giveaways. I was shocked when I entered her giveaway and actually won. It was my first giveaway to win and I was super pumped!! What was she giving away you ask..... Well I won this.....

YAY YAY YAY!!! I have just recently started watching Glee and so far I am loving it!!! Its such a cute show and I love all the music. Well yesterday when I got home from a long day at work guess what was waiting for me. Yes I finally received it. I can't wait to get home today and watch it and catch up. I am so excited!!! Maybe I will host a giveaway soon. So keep reading and watch out for one.

I have a question for my blog readers. What face wash do you swear by? I have been using Loreal 360 creamy cleanser but I think its making me break out. I have sensitive skin so I have to be careful as to what I use. Please let me know in the comments. Thanks ladies I appreciate your advice. I hope your all having a wonderful week so far.

My Weekly Menu

This weekend on twitter everyone was talking about the Cooking Light cookbook. I have been in a cooking rut lately so I decided to google it and see what recipes I could find. All of their recipes are found online with pictures. What makes it even better is they are all super easy to make and don't take a lot of time. Sounds like my kind of cooking, plus they are all HEALTHY!!! I don't know about you but I love meal planning. It makes it so much easier to grocery shop and I save a TON of money. My grocery bill today was only $68.00!!! I remember when I used to go to the grocery store and spend over 150-200 dollars and then I would throw half of the stuff away because it went bad. If you don't meal plan I definitely recommend it. You will find yourself saving so much time and money. You won't have to think of what to cook every night because you already did it at the beginning of the week.
Without further ado here is my menu for the week. I will let you know how the 2 new recipes from Cooking Light turn out.

Monday- Hamburgers and Zesty Fries
Tuesday- Smothered Green Chile Pepper Chicken with Black Beans and Spanish Rice
Wednesday- BBQ Stuffed Baked Potatoes w/a Salad
Thursday- Peppercorn Pork Tenderloin w/ Grilled Asparagus and a Salad
Friday- Tuscan Garlic Chicken

I might change up the days and decide I want to cook something on a different day but this gives you an idea.

Beach Trip to Destin

I am just now getting around to posting about my weekend trip to Destin Florida. This week has just been a busy week for us and I have felt totally exhausted every day. I think this past weekend was catching up with me. Let me warn you there are lots of pictures. Sadly I did not get any good pics of the beach because the weather was pretty much yucky! Boo :(

I flew in late Thursday night to ATL. It was about 11 and I was so tired so me and Jennifer (the brides sister) headed to bed. We got up early Friday morning and loaded up to head to the beach. We were so excited and hoping the weather would hold out for us. Unfortunately it did not. We got there around 2 on Friday and it was raining. We stayed at a wonderful condo right on the beach. Its a complex of condos. The place is called Villa Coyoba. This place was amazing and so big!!! I only got a few pics of it, but here is the website. Finally Lauren (the bride and Jenn's sister) arrived with all of her girlfriends. She had no clue I was coming and she was totally shocked and surprised. It was definitely worth it. I wish I would have captured the look on her face on camera. It was priceless!! It was so fun to be able to surprise her. We stayed in Friday night and hung out at the condo. We were all in bed by 9 o clock. I know, we are big party people right. haha. The beds were so comfortable, oh my goodness, I slept like a baby.

Saturday we got up and a few us decided to go take a morning walk on the beach in our pjs. The weather was still kind of yucky, it was so cloudy but at least there wasn't any rain. We all decided we were going to make the best of it no matter what. We got our bathing suits on and headed down to the beach, we ended up laying on the beach wrapped up in our towels because it was so cold. haha. It was funny to see a bunch of girls in their bathing suits trying to get some sun when the sun was nowhere to be seen. We finally got smart and decided to head up to the pool. We found out it was HEATED!!! It felt so good, we were so excited. We spent basically the rest of the afternoon in the pool and lounging. The sun was only out for about 1 1/2 and we soaked up every minute of it. None of us thought we were going to get any sun and then when we all headed in at about 5 o clock, every single one of us was BURNED!! Yep your right, none of us even put sunscreen on. That's what we get. haha. Saturday night we headed to dinner at Fishermans Wharf. The food was delicious and I definitely recommend it. After dinner a limo picked us up and we headed out on the town in Destin.

It was a great trip and I had tons of fun!!! I was so glad to be able to catch up with my two favorite girls. I can't wait to go back to Destin when hopefully the weather will be better.

Exhausted.

I had a wonderful weekend in Atlanta/Destin with my girlfriends. We had so much fun. I promise a full recap soon. I had to wake up at 445 this morning which was really 345 Texas time to catch my flight back to Houston. Needless to say I am exhausted and can hardly think straight at this time. I promise I will post soon with lots of photos. The condo we stayed at was AWESOME!! It was so pretty. I could have stayed there the whole week. I hope you guys had a great weekend too. Time for a bath and bed for me.
