Just a quick little post to say hi friends! I am still here just super busy. We got back from vacation and Wednesday and I worked 17 hours yesterday and I am going on 10 hours so far today. Woo I am tired. We are headed into Houston tonight to stay with my parents and watch my dad get ordained as a deacon for the Episcopal church tomorrow. What an exciting time for our family! He has worked so hard and his dream is finally coming true. I am so proud of him :) I remember being a little girl and him talking about the idea of wanting to be a priest and I would always say "no way will I ever be a preachers daughter" haha. Well fast forward about 15 years and here I am and I wouldn't have it any other way. He is finally fulfilling his calling.
No recap of The Bachelorette this week, I just don't have time and there really wasn't anything exciting that happened. The worst thing was Kasey singing and him getting that tattoo. Ali has no clue what she is getting herself into.
I promise lots of pictures to come from our short vacation and a full recap. We enjoyed our time in the beautiful state of Oklahoma. It was very pretty and serene in Broken Bow Oklahoma.
Lets see what else is going on in the Stracener household.....Not too much just staying busy. June is always a busy month for us. My birthday is next week so get ready for a countdown and my BFF of 20 years is coming to spend the weekend with me. Can we say fun times? I am super excited!!! I hope you all have a great weekend.
XOXO

Fun Weekend with old friends.
SFA
Downtown NacogdochesAnyways one of my childhood friends and her husband came to visit for the weekend. My friend and I and her hubby all went to college together as well. Our schedules are always so busy and conflicting so it was nice to have a weekend together since we live in different towns now. We had a nice and relaxing weekend with lots of food, laughter and wine of course. :) Friday night we just went out to dinner and then hung out at home. Nothing too exciting. On Saturday we decided to head over to Nac and visit our Alma Mater, we enjoyed walking around campus and seeing all the changes at SFA. It brought back so many memories and made me realize how fast college went by. Oh to go back to college. I would in a heartbeat. They have really spruced up the campus since we all went there. Then we ventured downtown and went in all the little shops and antique stores. I love downtown Nacogdoches. Its so quaint and has the cutest little shops. We decided after walking around in the hot sun we all needed a sno cone before we headed home. We stopped a local sno cone stand and got our fix. That was my 2nd sno cone of the summer season and it was delish. I got dreamsicle flavor. yum yum!!
Sunday I was so tired after church and lunch so I came home and curled up on the couch. I rented Fame from On Demand and relaxed. I was kind of disappointed. The previews always looked good to me but the movie was just okay. After the movie I took a little nap on the couch and woke up feeling very refreshed. It was just what I needed that afternoon. : )
How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun? Who is watching The Bachelorette tonight? Be sure to look for my thoughts/recap tomorrow? I can't wait to see what drama will happen tonight. :)
PS: If you haven't heard Megan delivered Baby Cohen this morning and he is beautiful. Check out her blog to see a picture. He is stable, PRAISE THE LORD!! Please continue to pray for this sweet family. You can click on my button to read their story.

The Bachelorette Dates Begin...
I wasn't able to watch The Bachelorette on Monday because I was at work so I had to watch it online on Tuesday. What? No DVR you say? Yes we are still living in the stone ages and we don't have a DVR although I am begging Todd on a nightly basis that we need to get it. Its the 2nd episode and the dates begin. I was so excited that Frank got the first one on one date. My intuition was correct and I still love Frank and think he is a great choice for Ali. My friends that were making fun of me last week now like Frank as well. HA!! I thought they had a great first one on one date and looks to me like they are off to a great start.
Next we have the group date and oh my oh my. The guys and Ali head out to Malibu to shoot a calender for charity. Let me just say some of those guys DID NOT need to be sporting a speedo. YUCK!! That was a little much but they all seemed to handle it pretty well. The weatherman kind of got on my nerves on this date. All he did in his one on one time with Ali was bash the other guys. That is not a way to impress a girl mister. Can we talk about his white jacket? Really? I mean come on you didn't have anything better in your wardrobe to wear. That was just plain hideous!! Men should not wear white jackets or white jeans, leave it in the store for the females. I wasn't a fan of Ty at first but he impressed me with his one on one time with Ali. I like the fact that he opened up the lines of communication and talked about his past. I'm glad he just put it out there instead of waiting until the last minute. I think you should be open and honest in the beginning of a relationship. I will say thought that I am not a fan of his voice. I am glad that Ali decided to give Ty the rose on the group date. I felt like he deserved it.
Then we have the last one on one date and Jesse gets it. I can sum him up in one word HOT!!! I'm not a fan of all the tattoos but he looked pretty dang good in his suit. He said he never had a suit until he came on the show. Newsflash Jesse you pull off a suit very well and you need to invest in more of them. WOO ;) I liked how nervous he was on their date, it showed his genuineness. Is that even a word? haha Jesse and Ali had a awesome first date in Vegas. They took a private jet to Las Vegas and then had a Ferrari waiting on them. That's the kind of first date I would like to have. They spent most of the day out at a pool and just relaxed and then they had a huge suite where they had private dinner. It was all very romantic, well what am I saying its the Bachelorette of course its romantic. Later in the evening they had a private concert and I can't even remember who it was. Nobody that I had ever heard of before. Jesse ended up getting the rose too.
This episode was okay. Nothing too exciting besides seeing Jesse in a suit. haha. I am so glad Craig M is gone. It seemed to me that he just wanted to start up drama and bully all the guys. That got on my nerves, there is no need in that. I am hoping the weatherman goes next week. I don't know if I can stomach him again. UGH :(
Sorry it took me so long to get this up. I promise to be better next week.

Memorial Day Weekend!!
One of Todd's high school friends got married on Sunday and we enjoyed the outdoor wedding and the reception at The Lodge. It was fun and I took lots of pics. Todd and I enjoyed dinner and dancing. :) I love my hair now that it is getting longer. I am able to do a lot more with it and I sported a low side ponytail for the first time. I actually liked it and thought I did a pretty good job at doing my own hair for once. ;)

Where did they find these guys??
Okay ladies last night was the season premiere of Ali The Bachelorette. Me and my girlfriends got together to watch it and we even printed out cheat sheets with pictures of all the guys and there names. Hahaha. Yes we are that dorky. We made notes out beside each guy.Let me just start by saying I LOVED Ali last season. I loved her girl next door look and how she was so laid back and casual with her hair just always pulled up and whatever. I will say I was not impressed with her GLAM UP look last night or her Vienna hair. Seriously, the girl has gorgeous hair why did she mess with it and put in those awful extensions. I think she must have went to Vienna's hairdresser. It looked HORRIBLE!! I also thought she could have picked a better dress. I mean it was okay but definitely not one of my favorites. She has better taste than that. I believe that was all ABC producers....well what am I saying the whole show is because its not real and its not reality televison. It's a show and they do things for ratings!!
Next up we get to meet the guys. I could go on and on and on about every single one of the guys. I will just hit on a few though. I will give you my top 3.
Chris L.
- He seems genuine, sweet, nurturing...I mean he moved back home to take care of his sick mother. That says a lot about a person. Plus he is way cute. I really like him and I though him and Ali hit it off pretty good.Frank
- I can't help it but I like the nerdy guy in glasses. I think he is a little cutie and he reminds me of Reid who I loved on Jillian's season. My friend Julie was making so much fun of me for liking Frank, but I can't help it. He seems like a innocent little boy that is kind of a dork and I like that about him. I loved how he jumped out the limo. haha. We will see how their relationship moves.Roberto
-Okay who doesn't love Roberto. He is VERY good looking and I LOVED his and Ali's one on one time. It seemed like they already had chemistry and he actually seemed normal unlike some of the guys on the show. He also has really good teeth and a great smile. That is one of the first things I look at and that is why I am married to Todd. haha. I am just saying my hubby has GREAT teeth :)Okay now lets get on to some of the other guys.....Shooter- oh my that was just plain awful. Enough said. Do you seriously wonder why you did not receive a rose??
Justin- Don't really care for him, he seems a little cocky and his little flavor savor that he has going on is not cute. Shave that little piece of hair or whatever you have growing on your chin off. You would be so much cuter without it!! I think he is one that might be full of drama this season.
Craig M- You are not McDreamy and you do not have his hair. Please get a new hair cut soon.
Kasey- I honestly can't listen to him talk. He talks so fast and his voice is just awkward. Also it looks like in the previews he becomes a bit of a stalker and that is just plain scary!! Be on the lookout for him girls.
Kirk- I am a scrapbooker, but I don't think I would want a guy I had just met making a scrapbook about his life. I don't know about you, but I felt like that was really odd??
Well those are the guys that really stuck out to me that are still left. There were a few more I like but we will wait and see what happens next week. One thing is for sure, there will be lots of drama, tears, and suspense. What is reality tv without drama? :) I can't wait to see what all happens this season and I promise I will blog my thoughts/recaps throughout it all. Get ready, its going to be a WILD RIDE!!!
What are your thoughts? Who were your favorite guys if any?

90210 Flasback
Any of you ladies original 90210 fans? I don't know about you but I watched the show from the very beginning and loved it. I was a huge fan. I remember coming home from school and not being able to sit on the couch with my mom and watch 90210. I will say its my ALL TIME FAVORITE show. There has never been another show that I have loved that much. I remember waiting for the day that they would put it on dvd so I could buy all the seasons. I was even on the Amazon waiting list. Yes I was a crazy person like that. haha. This afternoon on twitter a bunch of the girls got to talking about the original 90210. It was the hot topic. LOL :)
(Check out their clothes in this collage...haha)
My question is were you a fan? Did you watch it religiously? Were you Team Kelly or Team Brenda? Were you Dylan or Brandon fan? What was your favorite episode?

I never did like Brenda but I will say that I liked Brenda and Dylan together better than Kelly and Dylan. I loved Kelly and Brandon and always wanted them to get married. I was so sad when they called off their wedding. I always loved David and Donna from the beginning and knew they would get married some day. I loved how they ended the series with David and Donna's wedding. It was such a sweet ending to such a great series!!
Remember Steve and all his antics and girlfriends. He was such a mess. Loved his character too. I will never forget when Steve had the hots for this one lady and he just knew that she liked him back. It turned out she was a man. To me that was the funniest scene ever. I crack up every time I watch that episode.
What were some of your favorite 90 television shows that you wish were still on?
Happy Monday!! I hope you all have a great week. XOXO
