Maryland comes to Texas

* Lots of pictures*

WOW!! What a fun weekend I had. My bff Tracy made the big trek down to the great state of Texas. We had the best weekend!! Of course I didn't expect anything less. I picked her up Thursday at the airport and we headed to dinner with my brother, his girlfriend and another friend of mine Kristin. We enjoyed Mexican and Margaritas at Tracy's request!! ;) After dinner Tracy, Kate and I headed out to a local wine bar. We were the only people in there and it was a great way to end the night. Its a new place in Houston and the atmosphere was really cool. Its called Corkscrewers. We really enjoyed sitting on the couches and having a glass of wine.

Friday morning we woke up and headed to go get breakfast tacos. Tracy had no idea what a breakfast taco was. Seriously? The North doesn't have breakfast tacos. I would die, not literally :) My brother recommended an authentic Mexican place to get breakfast tacos and they did not disappoint. YUM they were so good and Tracy loved them. She was so excited to tell her hubby that we had tacos for breakfast. haha. I didn't know that apparently its a SOUTHERN thing. Then we headed for pedicures and to meet my mom for lunch. The rest of the day we spent shopping around town and showing Tracy my hometown. That afternoon we headed back to Lufkin and went out to Jazz on the Patio. Todd and I always love going to The Fredonia and sitting outside eating and listening to jazz music. We decided it would be a good place to take Tracy. The only bad thing was we got there kind of late and the only table left was the one right in front of the band, so the music was pretty loud. We could barely hear each other talk. It was a fun night though :)
Tracy and I at the Tea Room for lunch

Haha- We tried to take self pictures ;)
Saturday I showed her all around Lufkin and then we went back to Nacogdoches to do a little shopping. They have the cutest baby store there so I had to take her there. She got some cute things for jack including an outfit for his first birthday. Its an adorable Bailey Boys outfit. We spent the rest of the afternoon roaming around downtown Nacogdoches and I took her around my college campus. It was such a fun and relaxing afternoon. That night we decided to just pick up pizza to eat. We stayed up late scrapbooking and making cards. It was fun to just relax at home.
Notice my hair is curled. Tracy did it for me. I'm practicing on it looking that good again. I loved it like that. Thanks girl :)
Some cards Tracy made. Aren't they so cute?

Sunday I had to take her back to the airport that morning. I was sad to see her go but so glad that she came and visited. We had such a great weekend and I can't wait to do it again soon. :)

I love Scrapbooking!!

My lovely craft room that my hubby help me do. Are you jealous? haha. I love it and I am so lucky I have a place to store all my junk. :)

I don't know about ya'll, but I LOVE to scrapbook. I don't consider myself a very creative person so scrap booking is one way to bring about my creative side. When I was first introduced to scrap booking by one of my dear friends Bonny, I thought there is no way I can scrapbook. I don't have any kids, I am not even creative, what am I going to scrap about?? Well, it didn't take long for me to completely dive right in. My first scrapbook I did of a trip I took to Paris, France my senior year in high school. It was my graduation present from my parents. I loved scrapping all the pictures from Paris and now I enjoy looking back at that scrapbook and I am so glad I was able to capture every moment of that trip. I enjoy it so much and its very relaxing to me. I hate that I don't get to do it as much as I like.

I have now semi completed my 4th book. I am working on a vacation scrapbook and want to put all our vacations into one book. A few weekends ago I finished scrapping our Florida vacation that we took last summer with my parents. We went to Mexico Beach Florida for a week. It was a wonderful vacation, so relaxing. I am now itching to go back. Thankfully I have my Destin trip at the end of April. I had so much fun scrapping my Florida pictures of the beautiful beach and sunset. I am so glad to finally be done with it. I now have 3 more vacations to scrap before I get caught up on my vacation book. AHHH it stresses me out to even think about it. Here are a few pictures of the finished product.

Sorry these 2 pictures are sideways. I couldn't get them to turn. They are 3 of my favorite pages.

Two Christmas' ago I was able to work on a scrapbook for my sister in law. She wanted to have one for my precious niece Anna but she just didn't have time to get one started. So, I did all the layout for the pages from pregnancy until Christmas and filled in a few pictures here and there. All she had to do was fill in the rest of the spots and she was caught up. I will say I had the most fun doing that scrap book and it turned out so super cute!! I can't wait to have children someday so that I can work on their scrap books. Its so much fun to scrap all those precious pictures of babies. :)

For Christmas my mother in law/Santa got me a Cricut. If you are an avid scrapper then I highly recommend you getting one. You will LOVE IT!!! I have made tons of stuff with it including scrap booking pages, cards, tags, banners. etc. etc. It has been so much fun playing with it and seeing all the different things I can do with it. I am IN LOVE!! haha. I hear you can also cut fabric with it but I have yet to try. Maybe I will try that next. Here are a few of the cards I have made too. I think they turned out so cute :)

Sorry this picture is sideways. You get the idea...

Happy Hump Day my friends!! I hope you all are having a good week. Do you like to scrapbook? If so what is your favorite tool to use? I am just curious. I am a Creative Memories girl. They have the best albums and pages. I buy all my albums from their. I love all their products but I would love to know about other products out there you might like.
