The countdown has begun…

Exactly one month from today I am due with Mary Kathryn. I cannot believe we are a month away or less from meeting our baby girl. It is such a surreal feeling. I am so excited and anxious for her to get here. I have been blessed with such a wonderful pregnancy and I will be sad for it to end, but also glad.  I have dreamed about this my whole life and I know it will be here so soon. I think we pretty much have everything we need and feel as prepared as I can be. I still have to get a few last minute things but otherwise we are ready. I am trying to soak up every minute of this pregnancy and getting in all the sleep I can. It has become pretty uncomfortable sleeping at night and I pretty much toss and turn all night, not to mention the number of times I have to get up to go to the bathroom. I think Mary Kathryn is ready to be here too because she is running out of room. She loves to have a little dance party in my belly every morning and night when I am trying to go to sleep. I know I will miss feeling her move, it is so amazing to watch my belly. I can’t believe in a few short weeks we will be holding our precious baby girl. My how our life will change but only for the better!!! I go to the doctor on Tuesday so we will see what he has to say. I am hoping I can continue to work for at least 2 more weeks or so, but we will see.

Here is my 35 week picture.  (My face is definitely getting puffier)

and just for fun here is a 10 week picture. My oh my what a difference. :)10 weeks

Last weekend I headed home for my last weekend before MK’s arrival. I enjoyed being at home and getting to see several of my friends. It is weird to think the next time I go home I will have Mary Kathryn with me. I was able to attend my best friends baby shower. She got so many cute things and I can’t wait for our baby girls to be here and to meet. It has been so fun sharing this experience with her. 012

I am trying to hang in there these last few weeks and stay cool. It is so hot outside, I can barely stand it. I am still feeling great overall. Any tips or advice for this soon to be mama would be greatly appreciated. Also I haven’t packed any bags for the hospital yet. I feel a little clueless. What did you bring with you? What did you pack in your bag? and your baby’s bag? We only live 10 minutes away from where I am delivering so if I forget anything somebody can always run to my house. I have already purchased 2 nursing gowns and a robe and I know to pack some flip flops as well to walk around in. If you have any other suggestions or advice please send it my way. :)

The Nursery Reveal

Today I am 33 weeks pregnant!! I can't believe I am in the home stretch now. Only 7 weeks or less to go. I am hoping for less like maybe 5-6 weeks to go. I am getting so anxious and excited for her to get here. I cannot wait to see her sweet face and just hold her. Being pregnant has been an amazing experience but I am ready for it to be over. Its hard to believe that the end is near and that our lives will be forever changed. :) I am still feeling great but I am definitely looking big these days and ready to pop. Sleep is going okay, I wake up a few times to go to the restroom and I have to change positions pretty frequently. Every night when I am trying to go to sleep Mary Kathryn decides its time for a dance party. It feels like she is doing gymnastics in there, but I love every moment of feeling her move. I know that is the one part I will greatly miss about being pregnant.

We have almost finished the nursery so I thought I would go ahead and post the pictures. We still have to find a few more things for her shelves and put up crown molding. Otherwise, it is complete and I LOVE IT!!! It turned out just the way I always imagined. I am so thankful for my hubby and all his hard work of making the nursery just the way I want it. I think its perfect for our little princess. :)
The lighting is different in these pictures that's why I posted both.
I am sure I will spend lots of time in this chair. Its so cozy, I love it. :)
The background color of the built ins looks weird in these pictures but its the same color as her monogram which matches her bedding.

Baby Showers

Wow! I am so behind on posting. Our computer was running really slow a couple of weeks ago but it finally got fixed and since then I haven’t felt like blogging. I am officially 32 weeks today! I can’t believe it!! Now time is really going by so fast, its making me a bit nervous. Her nursery is almost complete and as soon as it is I promise to do a whole post on it. I am IN LOVE with it, its what I always pictured. If you follow me on twitter you have already seen a few sneak peeks. :)

A few weeks ago I had 2 showers in one weekend. I was so blessed at both showers. The first one was given by a group of ladies from our church and the second one was given by Todd's family. Both of the showers were beautiful and Mary Kathryn received so many wonderful gifts. We are so blessed with such great friends and family. MK and I were spoiled for sure.

The first shower was a brunch and all the food was delicious. It was so nice to have our church family there to celebrate and my best friend drove up from Houston to be there. As I have mentioned before we are due 4 days apart and it was so much fun sharing the day with her.  022  024014 018046

Finding out the hostesses gave me the rocker/glider I had picked out for the nursery.

I have one more shower in my hometown that I am looking forward too. I’m looking forward to celebrating with my friends back home. This post is pretty long so I will do a pregnancy update post later this week. Overall I am still feeling great. :)
